Your first time at Immanuel Mosinee
  1. Our worship and sermon emphasize the forgiving love of God. Only God makes us ready for life with him! Our purpose is to give you an opportunity to reflect on how the love of God has touched your life.

  2. As you enter our church building, you will receive a warm greeting and a person to answer any questions you have.

  3. An usher will hand you a bulletin. It outlines the service and offers helpful advice so that you can participate (if you wish).

  4. You may enter the worship space whenever you wish. Pick any seat!

  5. We sing hymns out of a hymnal and use a series of responses from the front of the hymnal. If you wish, you do not have to sing or speak. Just follow along! If you are unsure of what to do, just ask– and we will help!

  6. The Pastor guides worship so that everyone is able to follow along. (Since he is leading worship, it means that you do not have to introduce yourself, say something, or commit yourself to something).

  7. After service has ended, pastor assists with dismissal. Stay and talk for as long — or little– as you like!

What is worship like at Immanuel Mosinee?

Below are answers to common questions about worship. However, some of your questions may not be answered below. Please, if you have remaining concerns or questions, feel free to contact the Pastor. He is glad to answer any questions you might have.

What is worship like?
Our worship follows a service from our hymnals. We also print out the entire service in a bulletin. (We proceed as though reading a book. It’s easy!) All of our hymns and responses come out of here. You can participate or simply follow along.

Where to Sit?
Feel free to sit wherever you’d like, whether the front or the back. If you need assistance an usher will help you.

Will you make me stand up and say something?
No. We will not make you stand up and introduce yourself or say something. We will not pressure you to make a commitment by the end of service or on your way out the door. You can expect to participate (or observe) worship and leave having heard a Christ-centered message. (If you are interested in learning more about our congregation, you may contact our Pastor at any time during the week).

What to Wear?
You’ll notice some wear suits and ties; others wear jeans and shirts. Come as you are. We aren’t worried about what you’re wearing.

What about the Kids?
Kids of all ages are welcome at Immanuel. We encourage kids and their parents to grow in faith together as they hear God’s word and sing his praise. If the little ones get restless (as they often do) we have a nursery located in the sanctuary. Your little one can move around while you still listen!

What about the offering?
God gives us the opportunity to give back to him so that we may maintain our ministry. The Bible teaches us: “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Worshipers are not forced or compelled to give an offering. Instead, those who wish to give an offering are welcome to do so.

Still have a question? Contact the Pastor. He is glad to answer any questions you might have!
